Throughout this project I aimed top capture the essence of
location within photograph and I did this through creating a series of album
covers. Each task I was asked to complete was either centred around the three
decades the 60’s 70’s and 80s or the idea of location within photography. This
meant that I was able to explore these three decades and also explore location
photography further.
This project made me look into existing album cpovers so I was
able to recreate me own with an understanding of what they were like and how
they looked. I had complete control over how the album covers looked and which
albums I chose to interperate as long as they were from the 60s 70s or 80s. I enjoyed
the fact that I had this freedom as it meant that I was able to study albums which I grew up
listening to as my dad would play them when I was younger.
This project stressed the importance of lighting and
location within photography and how effective it can be. In addition to this
this project also taught me how important portrait photography can be and this
was quite new to me as I had not explored that far into portrait photography
before starting this project.
I feel that one way in which I could improve with my next
project would be to improve my time management as I struggled with how much
time I had left towards the end of the project. This is something I can
overcome with my next project.
Overall I feel that this project was successful and I very
much enjoyed the topic of recreating a;lbum covers.
